ACD was incorporated more than 34 years ago. Based in Southern California, the company manufacturers cryogenic pumps for the industrial gas industry. The ACD product line includes reciprocating and centrifugal pumps for all cryogenic liquids, turboexpanders for air separation, and boil-off compressors for liquefied natural gas.
ACD CRYO GmbH (formerly Cryopump GmbH) operates a service
center in Germany, which provides full service and repair of cryogenic pumps and turboexpanders to all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The service center also sells pumps exclusively to
the German market. Together, ACD and ACD CRYO provide customers with a broad range of products and services from which to choose.
Located in Santa Ana, California, ACD is housed in a modern 50,000 square foot (4645 m2) facility filled with computer-controlled machining and sophisticated balancing equipment, clean rooms for
oxygen compatible pumps and spare parts, and an extensive spare parts inventory. ACD CRYO operates a 4736 square foot (440 m2) manufacturing and service facility in Bad Bellingen, Germany, with
headquarters in Muenchenstein, Switzerland.
Equally dedicated to global specification and customer service, ACD CRYO AG
(formerly Cryopump AG), the company's European affiliate in Switzerland, focuses on customization of products to European standards for cryogenic pumping systems supplying both ACD standard
products, as well as manufacturing their existing Cryopump brand of pumps. ACD CRYO AG sells cryogenic pumps to all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Since joining the Cryogenic Industries group of companies, ACD (1983) and ACD CRYO (1989) have instituted a stringent quality assurance program that is certified to ISO 9001 standards. Manufactured
parts and castings are subjected to rigorous testing, and final products can be cryogenically tested at both ACD and ACD CRYO's service center at operating conditions before shipment to ensure their performance.
